Customer Feedback
John D.
“They did a great job digitizing some of my old VHS tapes. They even redid them because they sensed a delay in the audio. Quick turnaround and I’m supporting local entrepreneurs.”
Roxana A.
“I'm soooo grateful to have found you!!! Thank you for bringing my childhood memories back to life. I could cry watching these for hours. I HIGHLY recommend your services to anyone who is looking. I was so worried to send my valuable and precious tapes to a company I couldn't trust and was looking for someone local and you popped up on a local Burbank page like a miracle!! I can't thank you enough and your kindness and patience with all my questions, and the speedy turnaround was just an added bonus.”

“I Highly recommend Zstories Digital for converting your valuable faily memories into digital version. I had a partially broken SD card, thinking I would never get those memories back. John was able to rescue them in a very short time. Awesome service and great quality”
Debbie S
“I found Zstories via Yelp and was very glad I did! I had wanted to transfer all of my kids video footage that was on VHS to a digital file. I dropped my tapes off on Thursday afternoon and to my surprise the final product was done and ready to pick up on Saturday! Jean communicated in a timely fashion throughout the entire process. The pricing was also very reasonable. I would definitely recommend them!”

Our conditions
The quality of the digital version will basically be the same as the quality of the tapes given to us to digitize. Sometimes we increase FPS and color to better the quality of the image.
We thrive for excellence. We make sure that each digitized video works and that the sound and picture is synced. Sometimes, TVs do not support certain video playing formats. Additionally, Mac computers are picky and may not play your videos until you download an app on your computer named VLC Player. These issues are not Zstories issues. However, we’ve not had this issue.
We do NOT refund. Sorry. We spend a great amount of time digitizing the videos and verifying they work.
We do not keep your videos more than 48 hours after digitization is complete.
Our Privacy Policy
Client privacy is our top priority!
We do not watch your whole video. We do spot checks. We allow the systems to catch your entire media. Once digitized, we verify that the whole tape was digitized.
Once your videos are digitized and downloaded onto a flash drive, we delete them from our system within 48 hours. We do not keep your media.
Your videos are never uploaded on the internet unless you have a specific project with us that requires it.
Do not drop off any video that has “risque” material if you’re not comfortable with it
Your tapes are always returned to you.
We love big projects!
Mini DV, VHS, VHS-C, DVD, Hi8, Macro MV…

FAQ’s
Will my flash drive or external hard drive work on my laptop and TV? Yes, we make sure that the videos are playable before handing over your flash drive. Sometimes, some TVs or Laptops don’t support video formats (rare), that’s not a problem on our end however.
My Mac doesn’t play the videos, why? Mac is picky in our opinion. You can download VLC player and that should do the trick.
Will my videos look better because it’s being digitized? Your videos will look basically the same quality as they are on the original tape. Sometimes, we increase the FPS or change the brighteness. The video’s quality can/will decrease they’ve been sitting in a box with years of heat and humidity exposure, which affects the video.
What’s the most common problem you’ve seen with digiting the videos? We see many video tapes that have lost their crispness. We also see some videos lose sound here and there in the video.
